Port Credit and Napanee are both on the northern coast of Lake Ontario.

The newspaper cutting at http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_w3icCbvkKYU/RdosRQIfAAI/AAAAAAAAAE8/ys6vqt1Fhf0/s1600-h/Don.jpg says JD Miller of Port Credit.

Perhaps you should post the Napanee 1958 picture to a Napanee news group and see if anyone recognises the house. Napanee's not too big.

While researching the Cooksey family in Staffordshire I cam across your website, I have found in the 1851 census that William Cooksey 1791 born in Sedgley was living with his wife Hannah his daughter in law Hannah M Millerd and his daughter Jane M in High Street West Bromwich he was a Nail Merchant, also a wedding for him and Hannah 4 April 1838 at Edge Hill Lancs?

Also a William Mallen marriage to a Sarah Chatwin West Bromwich 1841

not sure if you have come across this information with the slight difference of names - but I hope that it may help you.

Regards

Marina Merchant
