Prompted by the recent Comment post from Tommy Boone, I’ve been taking a look again at Catherine W Bishop and begun uploading fresh data: her parents and grandparents, and will add sublings shortly.
Soldiers at Waterloo?
The Battle of Waterloo took place on 18 June 1815.
Maybe the paternal and maternal grandfathers of Robert Arthur Perrin (1861) did indeed take part in the Battle of Waterloo. The story became public in the Abingdon newspaper that reported the funeral service for William Perrin, who died on the loss of HMHS Rohilla in 1914. Though increasingly this seems unlikely, I should like to think so; to uncover the evidence.

Four Generations, One Family, One Place
August 2003 saw three generations of the Perrin Male (and their better halves) brought together in one place – The Samling in Cumbria – following my wedding.
Less than 3 years on, another Perrin Family moment saw 4 generations of the Perrin Male together at the regular family haunt, the Tiverton Hotel.
Quite an occasion, I’m sure you’ll agree.
